Tibet Center – unique in Europe

The Tibet Center was by His Holiness the Dalai Lama established with the aim of contributing to the promotion of human values, secular ethics, provide tolerance to compassion, etc.. Here, the Tibetan culture and areas of knowledge in an authentic and modern way will be taught. The Tibet Center – I.I.H.T.S. is the only Western institution where – in close collaboration with the University of Higher Tibetan Studies in Sarnath, Varanasi, India, and the Medical and Astrological Institute Tsee human SH-Khang are the five classic Tibetan areas of knowledge (Rigne) conveys – the Dalai Lama in Dharamsala, India. Insgesamt nahmen bisher über 3000 Teilnehmer aus vielen Nationen das umfassende Bildungsangebot des Tibetzentrums in Hüttenberg wahr.

Current events in the ashram

A typical day at the ashram began at 6 clock with the one-hour dynamic meditation. At 8 clock Bhagwan held a public lecture in the so-called „Buddha Hall“.

By 1981, this lecture series alternated in Hindi and English on a monthly basis. Many of these lectures were held spontaneously comments on texts from various spiritual traditions, while in others he answered questions from visitors and students.
